I'm realizing my computer is getting a bit old to run photoshop, so I decided to paint this in openCanvas. Flames on a jacket is a pain without layers that do special things. Oh well.

WoKou does like his ramen but he can never choose which one is his favorite. o3o;;

I am in love with the way you can make a single simple brush stroke do so much work in a picture. I'm also writhing in envy. Especially on Wokou's robe. One brush motion defines a crease, sets the light sources, and gradients the shading.

As usual, your use of light sources stands out as a real strength. And there's also a lot of momentum in this piece; you can feel the movement as his robe bottom flutters and his ponytail whips in the wind. Wonderful figure drawing.

This will be the most dramatic midnight snack evar.

I so very much wished those were single brush strokes, but this whole thing was painted on one layer.

It's a painting/drawing specific program that works really well with tablets. I've been working with oC1.1 because I like that I can draw with some friends together online with it. Wikipedia explains it a bit better than I could: [link]
